International artiste Wu Chun is inviting the public to meet him and "sweat for a good cause" on Sunday, Jan 29, in a two-hour aerobics marathon, from 7am to 9am at the Hockey Stadium in Berakas.
"This charity programme is supported by the Embassy of the Philippines in Brunei, for the people of Mindanao, that was recently hit by a strong typhoon 'Sendong', killing hundreds and damaging infrastructure, agriculture and businesses," said Goh Kiat Chun (Wu Chun), Managing Director of Fitness Zone Brunei.
"During the activity, Fitness Zone will feature Les Mills workout programmes, to be conducted by the club's Certified Instructors. A donation box will be set up for voluntary contributions from the public for the survivors of Typhoon Sendong (Washi) in the Philippines.
"This activity is open to the public. We are inviting everyone, including members of your family and friends, to join the aerobics marathon on Sunday. Together, we shall get physically fit while helping our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Mindanao," said Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Nestor Z Ochoa.
"The Brunei Government, through the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, has set up a humanitarian fund for the victims of Typhoon Sendong (Washi) in the Philippines. This shows the close relationship between the two countries and the caringness of the Government and citizens of Brunei for our fellow countrymen who need the help most," Ambassador Ochoa said.
Fitness Zone Brunei MD Wu Chun said, "We would like to share and educate the public to be fit, live right and help others by doing charity events. Fitness Zone instructors will be conducting body attack, body vice, body jam, body balance, body combat and body pump aerobics programmes (that) are interactive and entertaining for people who want to get fit."
Wu Chun encourages students, parents, clients, friends and members of the office to support the event. For inquiries, call +6732232338/+6738748489 (look for Dolex or Miki), or e-mail dolexdante3@yahoo.com or razoangel@yahoo.com.
