IT WAS a busy year for Wu Chun as he capped off the year with numerous activities and achievements in the entertainment industry.

Despite announcing that he is married with two children in October this year, Wu Chun’s fame and popularity has not been affected among his diehard fans and the majority have supported his decision to come clean about his personal life.

In order to spend more time with his family, Wu Chun has decided to squeeze all his activities and filming into the final three months of this year.

Wu Chun’s book entitled “Ignite Courage” was launched following his marriage announcement and is ranked number one in Taiwan and number two in China.

To celebrate his achievement on the first book, Wu Chun did his second autograph session in China’s Chengdu Wanda Mall last week where hundreds of Chinese fans crowded the mall just to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.

Days before Christmas, Wu Chun was invited to light up the Swarovski Christmas tree in China. It was Wu Chun’s second time to grace the event after 2011.

According to Wu Chun, “The Christmas tree offers a lovely canvas for holiday expression. This year, Swarovski once again presents a range of beautiful crystal trees in different locations around the world. Come and experience the magic.”

Taking a day off from filming Kindaichi Part 2 in Tokyo, Wu Chun went to visit the Tokyo Motor Show recently.

“Kindaichi Case Files” is a Japanese mystery manga series based on the crime solving adventures. In 1995, the manga won the Kodansha Manga Award for shonen.                     This manga has sold 90 million copies worldwide since its distribution.

This year, Kindaichi Part 1 was shown during the New Year schedule and reached a TV rating of 23 per cent nationwide, which is the highest among all the TV specials shown at that particular schedule. Wu Chun’s name also appeared second on the most search name on Yahoo Japan.

Some of the new casts who are working with Wu Chun are Kazuki Kitamura, born on July 17, 1969, who is a Japanese film and television actor, Hiroshige Narimiya and Korean Boy Band 2PM – Nichkhun.

Wu Chun in his blog said, “When 2013 seems to be a quiet journey in showbiz, never have I imagined how enthusiastic I was to squeeze in a ‘Mission-Almost-Impossible’ schedule into the final three months of 2013!”

Looking back at the past few months, Wu Chun said filming Kindaichi Part 2 required him to face language barriers with the Japanese crew, and that his role for the new movie would be more intensive.

On the release of his book, he expressed, “Exposing my personal life plus the fear and excitement of having to face the media and the whole world was another huge point in my career. The birth of Little Chun which let me realised that my responsibilities have never got any bigger than this in my whole life! The planning for Nei Nei’s birthday party and Little Chun’s Full Month party!

“I could not stop believing that I have accomplished all of these and as a matter of fact, my body did manage to stay strong in order to overcome all the pressure and workload during the three months! However, once the pressure disappeared, I immediately got sick with three full days of migraine and flu!”

Wu Chun added, “It is such a magical moment when you have pushed yourself out of your comfort zone, challenged it and then fulfilled it! Obstacles are actually opportunities so please don’t care about the outcome whether success or failure… as long as you did it with sincerity, you should be proud of the experiences you gained from it! And based on my experience, I realised that the harder you work, the luckier you will become…”
