Wu Chun, the locally-born famous actor and singer will officiate the third branch of Fitness Zone in Serusop with a charity walkathon this coming Sunday.

The public is welcome to take part in the two-kilometre charity walkathon from the Serusop Fitness Zone scheduled to start at 7am. All participants will receive certificates. And there are lots of prizes to be won.

Activities lined-up are lion and dragon dances, colouring contest for children and a cycling marathon contest. These activities in conjunction with the Serusop Fitness Zone's opening were highlighted by Wu Chun at a press conference yesterday afternoon.

The famed actor, who plays a leading role in Butterfly Lover, said, "In the charity walkathon, there will be charity wrist bands on sale. All the proceeds will be donated to Pusat Ehsan.

"We will also host a cycling marathon with HSBC. The first prize is an iPad. The registration fee for each participant is $30. Proceeds will be contributed to Pusat Ehsan.

"Last month, we had raised $2,000 from a charity drive through our cycling session."

Amidst his busy schedule in his entertainment career, Wu Chun has put in his personal time and effort to build his Fitness Zone branch in Serusop.

"I am passionate about fitness and nurturing Brunei's society towards a healthy lifestyle through gym. Therefore I put in a lot of personal time and effort on the new branch in Serusop.

"I designed this branch equipped with top-notch quality and brand. There are equipment not only for fitness but also to build the well-being of individuals. The equipment called kinesis can help strengthen body joints especially for the older generation.

"We have spent an estimated $500,000 to build the 8,000 square feet three-storey Serusop Fitness Zone," he said

Since its soft opening a month ago, Serusop Fitness Zone has already received 800 new members.

In conjunction with its official opening, interested parties who want to join will only need to pay $80 monthly subscription fee and without having to pay for the joining fee of $500. The joining fee waiver promotion will end this month.
