Canon Marketing Malaysia together with Taiwanese Band Boy group, Fahrenheit, have launched the latest range of the IXUS series – IXUS 310 HS, IXUS 220 HS and IXUS 115 HS. These new Canon models come packed with revolutionary High Sensitivity (HS) System and Movie Digest modes. The HS System allows the IXUS range of compact digital cameras to produce sharper and better photos even in challenging low light conditions for the users.

“Together with Canon’s superior DiG!C 4 imaging processor, the HS System mode provides high-sensitivity CMOS sensor that produces razor sharp images. The result is vivid colour rendition at low noise levels without the aid of a flash or tripod to maintain the ambience and mood of the photo,” enthused Simon Wong, Director of Imaging Communications Products Division during the official launch held at Signature Class of Golden Screen Cinemas in Gardens Midvalley.

“For the first time in the IXUS family, we are introducing the Movie Digest mode which offers both still images and a four-second movie pre-record before the still captures. This enables users to record the full story behind every picture-perfect moment as it unfolds. This means the users will never miss out on any action,” added Wong.

Canon Marketing Malaysia has been announced as the winner of GfK No. 1 Award 2010 In Total DSC (Digital Still Camera) category which inclusive of both compact and DSLR segments. This widely recognised award is determined according tgo GfK’s retail audit data in Malaysia, with the brand’s performance been judged based on the unit sales in the specific category for the period between January and December 2010.
