THE Consumer Fair 10 (CF10) will kick off tomorrow at the BRIDEX hall in Jerudong, with a total of 420 booths set up for visitors to browse through.

The tenth instalment of Brunei's largest and most popular consumer event will carry a healthy lifestyle theme, for which CF10 organiser Sunlit Advertising Sdn Bhd teamed up with Fitness Zone Sdn Bhd.

A press conference was called yesterday afternoon by Sunlit Advertising and Fitness Zone, where they spoke about the many activities that have been lined up for CF10.

"We will be conducting healthy activities this time round, such as a mass aerobic session, a DIY Salad-Eating competition, basketball and football challenges and more," said Sherly Tan, marketing manager of Sunlit.

With the event being held at BRIDEX Hall, plenty of activities will be held outdoors, such as cycling, mobile rowing and boot camp challenges.

The basketball challenges include a 'One-on-One' challenge, 'Make the Shot' challenge and 'Slam Dunk' competition. Individuals interested in participating can pre-register at any branch of Fitness Zone.

For aerobics enthusiasts, the 'Saturday Night Fever' mass aerobic workout will incorporate Zumba Fitness, Body Jam and Body Combat exercises. Registration for the session is open at any Fitness Zone branch, or may be done on the day of the event.

A total of 100 boxes of Nestle Fitness cereal will also be given away during the event.

A cycling clinic will also be held at CF10, which will be followed by a cycling marathon sundown event on Sunday, July 1, organised by Fitness Zone and sponsored by Triple Star Company. Prizes for the cycling marathon include a Scott mountain bicycle and cycling apparel. Participation for this event is limited to 40 people .

"We want more people to get active, so we advise everyone to come to the event wearing sports attire, making it easy for them to participate in all the activities we have," said Wu Chun, managing director of Fitness Zone.

For those participating in the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam charity event, The Run, fitness clinics will be conducted from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday, June 30.

There will also be a number of health check-up booths at the venue, courtesy of the Health Promotion Centre, Gleneagles JPMC and the Breast Cancer Support Group Brunei Darussalam.

CF10 is set to run from June 27 to July 1, operating from 10am to 10pm. A free shuttle bus service will be provided from Jerudong Park's Pusing Lagi parking area. Call Sunlit at 245 3666 for more information.
