THE Cooltones Bowling Team will be sporting new apparel at the KL Open Bowling Tournament in September courtesy of Aewon.

An apparel handover event took place recently at Fitness Zone in Kiulap branch between Cooltones, Fitness Zone and Aewon just for the occassion.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with the upcoming KL Open Bowling Tournament this September in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Cooltones Bowling team will be participating.

Aewon is the official apparel provider and sponsor for Cooltones Bowling team and Fitness Zone is the official fitness centre for the players.

According to Wu Chun, founder of Fitness Zone, Bowlers require an adequate level of body strength for carrying the ball, and upper body power is important in the bowling delivery.

We believe Fitness Zone has the right equipment to help strengthen their upper and lower body strength, as well as core body strength so they can achieve optimum performance and at the same time prevent from sustaining injuries.

Present to handout the official t-shirts and jackets to the team was Justin Hong, Sales Manager for Aewon to the Cooltones bowling team player and Manager Pengiran Anak Hishamudin Shahmardi Al-Haj Pengiran Anak Hassanudin Al-Haj.

Witnessing the event were Wu Chun himself and Cooltones Manager Hj Mohd Fawzi.

"Fitness Zone is always looking for opportunities to support Brunei's own national sports team and it fitted well with one of our slogans, Bruneians to the world of fitness", he added.

The team will be trained by professional instructors from Fitness Zone who are comprised of a five members that includes former and current national bowlers and few newcomers too.

The bowling team will fly off on September 17 and they will compete for a week with four days of qualifying round with the final to be played on September 22.
