THE KFC Fitness Zone’s Hopes In The Hoop team with Wu Chun as team member yesterday overwhelmed the China Enterprises Association 81-61 in a friendly game.

Both teams were new and are looking to improve teamwork and skills on the court.

On hand to witness the matches were Fang Xinwen, Acting Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, Shao Ying Cheng, Defence Attaché, and Hudson Wang Jia Xin, Chief of Economic & Commercial Office from the embassy.

The Chinese Enterprises Association team includes players from Huawei, Zhejiang Hengyi, China Railway and China Telecommunication Services.

Acting Chinese Ambassador said, “Through the basketball team, staff from various Chinese enterprises located in Brunei can come together to foster ties and get together. This is a good initiative.”

Meanwhile Wu Chun commented, “When we heard that the Chinese Embassy formed a basketball team, we – Fitness Zone and KFC – as active promoters of basketball extend our welcome by inviting them to a friendly basketball game.”

The Hopes In The Hoop team also took the opportunity to invite the opposing team to join the September season of The KFC Fitness Zone 3-On-3 Streetball challenge which is now open for registration.
