The Brunei national veteran team led by captain Goh Kim Tiam, the president of Brunei Basketball Association will be competing in the Macau International Chinese Invitational "Basketball Tournament from Sept 1-2, just days after the conclusion of the 21st Asean Veteran Basketball Invitational Tournament hosted by Brunei Darussalam.

The Brunei veteran team jerseys sponsored by Fitness Zone were presented by Wu Chun in a ceremony yesterday.

The team comprised of Gob Kiat Chun or Wu Chun (manager), Khoo Chin Kai (coach), Goh Kim Tiam, Khoo Eng Cheong, Soon Klan Long, Gob Kok Ann, Ho Poh San, Lim Kah Hoo, Chua Teck Chee, Ken Kho, Tan San Choh, Ong Tze Keu, Lee Huat Beng and Rosli.

Last year, they lost to a Guangzhou team and finished in third place but this year, the Brunei veteran cagers hoped do better.

According to Khoo Eng Cheong: "We want to finish with a better result than last year. This is our aim. However we are facing tough competition froth Thailand, China and Hong Kong. With the preparation we did during the just-concluded Asean meet, we hoped we can better last year's results."

Meanwhile, Wu Chun said Fitness Zone has always supported Brunei's sport and this sponsorship is one of many efforts to support Brunei's sport.
