Fitness Zone (FZ) members, especially mothers were in for a surprise last Saturday night as its Managing Director cum Brunei-born superstar, Wu Chun, made a surprise appearance to celebrate Mother's Day with them at the leading health club's branch in Serusop.
FZ invited its clients and their family members together to celebrate the special occasion dedicated to mothers around the world.
A "Search for the Super Mum" Award was the highlight of the event, where mothers were given the opportunity to share their inspiring stories of being a mother with the audience. One of FZ members said, "Despite all the sleepless nights and never-ending responsibilities, being a mother is no doubt the proudest thing that ever happened in my life."
Special games were also organised to enliven the celebration for mothers at the health club including the Most Photogenic Contest, Best-dressed Contest and a Ballroom Dancing demonstration guided by FZ's Professional Ballroom Instructor.
Healthy food items were also featured at the event, prepared by its members as part of a healthy food contest.
A session was also held to explain on the healthy food preparation and its ingredients with guidance from FZ's own registered and licensed nutritionist and dietician.
As a reward to mothers and their families, FZ also gave away healthy pastries and slices of a 15-pound fruit cake, sponsored by Mr Baker.
According to Wu Chun, "Mothers are the source of our inspiration and they are a light to our lives. Everybody enjoyed the event, from the performances, the games and of course the delicious yet healthy food prepared by the mothers. We treat all our members as how we would treat our own family members so we are not here just for a healthy purpose but to share the joy of family bonding too!"
