Health awareness for a healthy lifestyle and recreational activities are increasing among public at all age levels. Centres that provide health and fitness services play an important role in healthcare, more so at this time when health awareness are on the increase. In this regard, another branch of Fitness Zone Activity Centre was opened in Serusop this morning.

The centre was officially opened by the Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan. Yang Berhomat then viewed and and tried out for himself, the new equipment at the fitness centre. Fitness Zone has several branches in the country and like other Fitness Centres, it is established to encourage people in the country to practise a healthy lifestyle.

The official opening ceremony also included the handing over of a cheque for the amount of 4 thousand and 85 dollars by the owner of the Fitness Centre, Mr. Goh Kiat Chun, to the President of SMARTER, Malai Abdullah and another 3 thousand 800 dollars to the Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Dato Paduka Haji Alimin.
