HSBC and SMARTER Brunei are teaming-up to organise the Cycling Challenge, scheduled to be held on June 20.

HSBC Brunei Corporate Sustainability Manager Lim Boon Teck made the announcement yesterday during a forum held in conjunction with World Autism Awareness Day 2010 at RIMBA II Primary School.

According to Mr Lim, four local celebrities will be endorsing the event, namely, Wu Chun, Putri, Fakrul Razi and popular DJ Ezan.

`Cycle For Smarter’ will be held on June 20 and be split into two categories. The 108km Challenge will start at 7am from HSBC KB and end at the Autism Spectrum Disorder Centre in Sengkurong.

Meanwhile, the 8km Community Challenge will start at 12pm from HSBC Jerudong and end at the Autism Spectrum Disorder Centre in Sengkurong. This category is open to both children and adults.

Registration fees for the 108 Km Challenge and 8km Community Challenge are $20 and $10 respectively, all of which will be donated to SMARTER.

Participants will stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes from Triple Star Enterprise, and each participant will also receive an exclusive HSBC cycling bottle and a one-month free membership at Fitness Zone.
